We needed a challenge, so we went out and found one. In November, 2011, twenty five clients and staff members from Arena Fitness trained for
the Spartan Sprint in Malibu, California. We spent three months leading up to the event preparing. Something weird happened:
We got in the best shape of our lives and had a GREAT TIME!! Now, it’s on to the Warrior Dash on March 31, 2012! Listen to what people are saying about their experience preparing for and competing in the Spartan Race:

I loved the experience so much, I’ve signed up for two more races in 2012 and can’t wait! I’ve also talked about the experience so much, I’ve convinced others to join in on the action in 2012, despite the fact that several of these indiviudals aren’t fitness buffs or even into extreme training.

I’m extremely competitive so whatever doubts or negative feelings I had about the race (and believe me, there were a bunch, especially after the people who did the Hurricane Heat came back) vanished the instant the race started. Finishing the Spartan Sprint was an amazing feeling, and despite everything – rolling over rocks under barbed wire, swimming threw a freezing and absolutely disgusting pond – it was a lot of fun. Running with Rhonda and working together to finish the race was really cool. I also loved the sense of camaraderie among Team Arena after the race. We all knew that we had done something special together.

I still can’t stop talking about my experience. I couldn’t move after the race and thought I would never do such a thing again. A day later, I signed up for the race in March. I love coming in every week and training because it pushes me and I get stronger every week. The race created a bond between all the participants from Arena and I think we have all motivated eachother to get to our goals. If it weren’t for Arena, I wouldn’t have even thought I was were capable of accomplishing this race!
